A graduate of Pascack Valley High School, he began his nautical career by serving in the United States Coast Guard from 1992 to 2000 and went on to continue a career in the marine industry in New York Harbor.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lisa, and their daughter Samantha; mother Jean Turi; brother Joshua Turi and his wife Kim; nephew Mitchell; his lifelong best friend, "brother" Dennis Wheeler; and his four-legged companion Scooby. He will be missed by his many friends and family.
He was predeceased by his father Joseph Turi.
Visiting on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the William G. Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road in Oradell. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his daughter Samantha Turi's College Fund.
